About the role
Build the next generation of secure healthcare-fintech infrastructure powering onboarding, identity, and trusted product access for members and institutions.
What We're Looking For
Trexonium is growing its engineering team to scale a high-trust platform at the intersection of healthcare, finance, and compliance. In this role, you will take ownership of complex product initiatives from architecture to production.
We are looking for someone who thrives in ambiguous problem spaces, can investigate root causes independently, and can design long-term technical solutions rather than short-term patches.
If you enjoy building high-quality systems, collaborating deeply with product and design, and shipping features that directly affect real people in regulated workflows, we would love to talk.
Working at Trexonium
- Freedom to do your best work in an inclusive, low-ego, high-accountability team culture.
- Culture of autonomy and ownership where engineers can propose, lead, and execute meaningful initiatives.
- Supportive collaboration across engineering, product, compliance, and operations with fast feedback loops.
- Remote-first setup with distributed teammates and clear overlap hours for collaboration.
- Strong investment in professional development through mentorship, architecture reviews, and growth plans.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and ship high-quality full-stack features across onboarding, auth, and KYC workflows.
- Design technical systems that are secure-by-default, observable, and resilient in production.
- Partner with product and design to turn ambiguous requirements into clear implementation plans.
- Work with compliance and operations to encode policy requirements into practical product behavior.
- Own reliability improvements including monitoring, alerting, incident follow-up, and performance tuning.
Requirements
- Fluent English communication skills.
- 6+ years developer experience.
- 6+ years of software engineering experience, including production full-stack ownership.
- Strong TypeScript experience with modern React and server-side Node.js services.
- Proven experience implementing secure authentication and identity verification flows.
- Solid understanding of API design, data modeling, and distributed system trade-offs.
- Clear communication and an ownership mindset in cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Next.js, Express, and relational databases in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with event-driven integrations (for example webhook-based status pipelines).
- Hands-on experience with observability tooling and incident response practices.
- Experience mentoring engineers and raising engineering quality standards across a team.
Benefits
- Competitive salary and meaningful equity package.
- Health, dental, and vision coverage.
- Remote-first flexibility and home-office stipend.
- Annual learning and development budget.
- Generous paid time off and company holidays.
Equal Opportunity
